Re-alignments and installation
If you have had roof repairs, your DIRECTV dish may have not been correctly re-installed by your roofing company.
It happens all the time.
You need professional equipment to correctly align a dish. Being a half inch off on the ground is like being 10,000 miles off in space.
If your roof was covered by insurance, most insurance companies will also reimburse you for the cost of re-installing your dish.
We will provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance company.

Bad dish alignment can result in:
- Rain and Snow will cause your signal to go out much more easily. Light rain should not affect a well aligned dish.
- Channels appearing in standard definition that are normally in high definition.
- Occasional "771 Errors" on the screen.
- Go to "Settings" on your receiver’s menu.
- Then go to "dish settings".
- Then choose "Signal Strength". press the "dash" button when prompted.
- If most of the numbers on the 101 satellite are not in the 90s or greater, your dish may need to be realigned.
